Mikayla Nogueira Debuts Brunette Look After Being "Bullied" Into Changing Hair Color

Mikayla Nogueira listened to her followers’ point of view.

Just a few weeks after trading in her signature dark hairdo for a lighter look, the TikToker is already returning to her roots. After putting out a poll to determine her next hair color, the 28-year-old found that most people weren’t rocking with her blonde locks.

“The internet has successfully bullied me,” Nogueira admitted in a June 30 TikTok, “into getting rid of this hair.”

In fact, over 10,000 followers voted for her to go brunette compared to the just 1,500 who preferred to keep the blonde.

“Listen, I get it,” she said of her blonde hair. “I tried it, okay? But this situation on top, with this, I’m going to the salon.”

Even though she didn’t “hate” the hair, the POV Beauty founder emphasized there were “a lot of issues” with the ‘do. So, Nogueira did what she does best: filmed a GRWM to transform her hair.

“I’ve got important s--t coming up that my hair needs to look good for,” she continued. “So I gotta fix this.”

Though she is no stranger to switching up her look in the past, even she wasn’t prepared for fans to come through with such strong opinions.

I have never received such a negative reaction to a hair color until this,” she noted. “Personally, I think the blonde’s kind of cute, especially in the summer, but I just know—and we all know—there are better hair colors for me.”

Although she teased that she might go back to her signature jet black look, which she maintained for over a decade, the beauty influencer ultimately chose a dark brown shade, which she debuted in a July 1 TikTok.

And she promised to keep the color for a while, noting that she was “done touching” her strands.

“This is my final form,” she stated in a follow-up TikTok. “I love it. I think it is very pretty. You know, it’s not as harsh as the black but it has enough dimension and depth that it feels like me. Plus, as you can imagine, my natural hair is fried.”
